Windigo
At the southwestern end of Isle Royale is Windigo, on the shore of Washington Harbor, only 22 miles from the Minnesota shore. Secluded Washington Harbor welcomes boating and trout fishermen. It is easily accessible by boat service from Grand Portage via the Wenonah, which offers daily service to Windigo. Also, the Voyageur offers visitors a scenic ride around the island from Windigo to Rock Harbor Lodge.

The Windigo store is open mid-June through early September selling groceries, sandwiches, camping supplies, fishing licenses and tackle, gifts and photo supplies for visitors. The marina offers gasoline, pump-out service, plus motorboat, canoe, and kayak rentals. Showers and laundry facilities are located near the store.

Dockside Store
The Dockside Store is located on the main dock, close to Rock Harbor Lodge. There we offer standard groceries as well as freeze dried foods, fishing tackle, camping and hiking accessories, camping fuel, photo supplies, boating accessories, post cards, apparel, souvenirs, and sundries. Shower and laundry facilities are also available.
